In memory of Keli & Joe Morgan, they were the life and soul of every room they were in, and where in their 40s when they sadly passed away due to a fire in our house when I wasn’t there.
My Mum and Dad passed away early hours on the 17th of January 2015 I was 14 and had lost everything, as it’s coming up to 10 years without them I wanted to do something in memory of them and the past 10 years what have felt like survival in fight or flight to me, whilst also raising money for a good cause.
When looking into it I found Rainbows! I went to Maricourt High School myself and was 14 when it happened, it was a shock to everyone and we all did our best but there wasn’t much knowledge around bereavement.
I have gone on to study to be a counsellor, trying to fill that gap there was for me in hope to help anyone in my position in the future and finished my 100 hour placement just before Christmas.
So rainbows was perfect!! It warmed my heart to know there was a community that dedicated their time to helping young people like myself get through such a confusing time;
So, I will be raising as much money as possible to support the cause of raising awareness for Rainbows starting on my Mum and Dads 10 year anniversary up until the summer when I will do the skydive which will take place on the 23rd of May.
