SEEK TO APPOINT A NATIONAL CO-DIRECTOR
With specific responsibility for the Southern Region

Rainbows Bereavement Support Great Britain is a well-respected national charity offering high quality training in bereavement and loss; practical, realistic and sensitive guidance for schools to review or develop their own bereavement policy; specific training for facilitators and coordinators of the Rainbows age-related programmes and on-going support to affirm and advise colleagues in their important work with those who grieve. The charity currently operates in over 1400 schools.
The Trustees seek to appoint a new National Co-Director to work alongside the current National Co-Director for the Northern Region and to have specific responsibility for the Southern Region. The prime purpose of this post isto consolidate the good work that has been achieved thus far, co-ordinate, develop and expand the existing regional bereavement support and manage the charity through the next phase of its growth throughout Great Britain in line with the Charity’s Strategic Development Plans.
Applications are warmly welcomed from those with proven management and leadership skills who have understanding, knowledge, expertise and experience of Rainbows or who have a significant background, expertise and experience in the field of bereavement support.
This part-time flexible post, equivalent to 10 hours per week for 40 weeks per year is for an initial period of three years.An hourly rate in the region of £12 to £14 will be paid, dependent upon experience and qualifications. Travel expenses will be paid from an agreed base within the region. In addition to managing Rainbows Bereavement Support GB in the southern region, national responsibilities will be discussed with the current Co-Director and shared equally.
